Sodra tennis halls

Sodra Timber announces open international architect competition on future concept for tennis halls.


Sodra Timber in collaboration with Välle Broar, CBBT (Center for building and living with wood) and Martinsons invites to an open architect competition on a new building concept for tennis.

Behind the thoughts around this concept you will among others find the tennis profile Stefan Edberg.

The organizers hope that the competition will show ways to a continued development of the wooden building.

The competition is taking place from May 13 to September 14 and the competition is international and open.

The competition proposals will be assessed of this jury:

  • Stefan Edberg, former world one in tennis,
  • Carl-Axel Hageskog, Växjö Universitiy,
  • Erland Ullstad, former Chief architect Växjö community,
  • Hans Andrén, Välle Broar,
  • Eva Nygren, Sweco Sweden,
  • Leif Brodén, group manager Sodra,
  • Lars Eric Åström, chairman of the board Sodra
  • Peter Nilsson, managing director of Sodra Timber.
  • Thomas Sandell, architect SAR/MSA SIR/MSA appointed by Sweden’s Association of Architects
  • Natasha Racki, architect appointed by Sweden’s Association of Architects
