TURN! Festival of Urban Art

Pausing to Consider

The installation was open from September 29 to October 03, 2021.

Author: Mark Grimitliht

In the context of an installation called “Mõttepaus“ (“Pausing to Consider“), Freedom Square will be full of 2,999 tree stump ends – a chance to take time out to think and extend the life cycle of timber. “Mõttepaus” is a chance to ponder how our country’s and planet's trees are doing and possible future perspectives. It’s also just a place to hang out. After the installation is over, the stump ends will be returned to their ordinary life cycle.
