The competition is arranged by Estonian Association of Architects and Valga Municipal Government.
The objective of the Competition is to make the public space of Vabaduse Street in Valga more attractive and convenient for all road-users and support all businesses and public institutions in the vicinity with high-quality street environment. The Competition space lies in the heritage protection area Valga town centre. The competition area is 1,6 ha.
The winning draft plan will work as basis for the detailed spatial plan and blue-prints of relevant facilities in the area.
There will be negotiations with the winner(s) about awarding procurement for preliminary and main contract of Vabaduse street urban space blue-prints and supervision of construction. The procurement contract of services will be signed with the winner(s) without declaration of negotiations according to the procurement procedure. The price limit for design of the negotiated tendering procedure without prior publication of a tender notice should never exceed 150,000 euros, including all necessary costs.
Term for submission of documentation and a draft plan is at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on September 6, 2022.
All the parts of the draft plan have to be written either in Estonian or English.

Division of the award funds (20 000 euros) is as follows:
Winner of the competition – 8000 euros;
Second place – 6000 euros;
Third place – 4000 euros;
Incentive bonus 2000 euros.
