The title of the competition: Architectural competition for the hotel at Ranna puiestee 9
The object of the competition: To secure functionally and architecturally the best solution for a modern building of spa and hotel that would fit in well with the surrounding urban context.
The form of the competition: This is an open one-phase architectural design contest with pre-qualification. The participants will be selected on the basis of their previous work experience, projects, portfolio and vision. From the design entries of the qualified architectural offices the best solution will be selected.
The reward for participation: Each (pre-qualified) participator will be awarded 5000 EUR + taxes (20%).
Altogether 5 participants will be pre-qualified. (The organizer has the right to increase the number to 7 based on the proposal of the jury).
The evaluation of the portfolios: The jury evaluates the architectural quality and the previous work experience of the architectural offices who have submitted their portfolio.
The evaluation: The submitted design entries will be evaluated by the jury whose membership has been stipulated in the design brief and who will then make up the ranking. Only the members of the jury have the right to vote. In case of equal outcome of the vote the chairman of the jury will have 2 votes.
The schedule of the competition:
The competition starts on October 18th 2017.
The deadline for submitting portfolios:
The portfolios should be sent to the e-mail address tiit@sportsport.ee by November 13th 2017 the latest.
The jury will evaluate the portfolios the latest by December 4th 2017.
The deadline for submitting design proposals: February 19th 2018.
The jury will have made their decision by March 5th 2018 the latest.
